When you start discovering whisky, Glenmorangie is a must-have label, especially when you have the (pretty good) idea to try its special finishes, such as the Glenmorangie Nectar d’Or finished in Sauternes casks.
Nose: Apples and cinnamon at first taste. Then come sweet aromas of apricot. All this with great sweetness as if you were smelling a fruit syrup. Very nice.
Mouth: Like for the nose, a great fruity sweetness coated with some spices. A really tasty mix of yellow fruits, even a little bit more fruit than with the nose. Vanilla but also honey making everything a little more creamy.
Finish: A medium-length finish, very creamy. Some spices for a beautiful finish.
